6-Ft Black Chain-Link Pickleball Court Fence – Blue Ridge, GA
North Georgia Fence Company recently completed a 6-foot black vinyl-coated chain-link pickleball court fence in Blue Ridge, GA for a luxury corporate rental getaway situated on approximately 20 wooded acres.
This was our second fencing project at the property in two months.
In August 2026, we installed approximately 450 linear feet of 4-foot black vinyl-coated chain-link fencing through the wooded area surrounding the living quarters. That fence created a secure area where guests could bring their dogs and allow them room to exercise without having to keep them on a leash.
In September, the property owner called North Georgia Fence Company again—this time to fence a newly constructed pickleball court being added as another recreational amenity for guests.
The result is a durable, attractive 6-foot black chain-link court enclosure that complements the wooded surroundings while helping keep pickleballs and basketballs within the playing area.
Customer Need: Enclosing a New Recreational Court
The property is designed as a high-end corporate rental and getaway destination in the Blue Ridge area. With approximately 20 acres available, the owners have continued adding amenities that make the property more enjoyable and useful for groups and their guests.
A new concrete pickleball court was constructed in a wooded, shaded portion of the property.
The concrete slab measures approximately 40 feet by 60 feet and is painted green with a light-blue center playing area. The court will primarily serve as a pickleball court, but it is also designed to accommodate a basketball goal. When pickleball is not being played, the net can be rolled aside and the space can function as a basketball court.
The owner needed a fence that would help contain balls within the court while maintaining a clean appearance appropriate for the surrounding property.
Site Inspection and Fence Layout
The court presented an interesting installation because the fence would be installed around an existing finished concrete slab rather than set in ordinary soil.
We planned a 6-foot-tall black vinyl-coated chain-link fence around the court. Black vinyl-coated chain link was a natural choice because it provides the strength and visibility needed around a recreational area while being less visually intrusive against the property's wooded background.
Access was also important.
The layout included two 10-foot-wide double gates:
- One 10-foot double gate in the front 40-foot section of fencing
- One 10-foot double gate centered in the rear 40-foot section
The large openings provide convenient access to the court and make it easier to move recreational equipment, maintenance equipment, furnishings, or other large items into and out of the enclosed area.
Installation Plan
Because the pickleball court was already a finished concrete slab, proper post installation was one of the most important parts of the project.
Rather than treating this like a conventional chain-link installation in soil, our installation required core boring the concrete at the required post locations.
Holes were carefully core drilled into the concrete to accept the fence posts. The posts could then be properly positioned and anchored to create a strong foundation for the 6-foot chain-link enclosure.
This process required careful measurements and layout so the fence lines, terminal posts, gate posts, and two large double-gate openings would work together around the completed court.

Installation Process
After establishing the fence layout and gate locations, we core bored the required post holes into the concrete pickleball court.
The fence posts were installed and aligned before the black vinyl-coated chain-link fabric was stretched and secured around the perimeter.
Special attention was given to the two 10-foot double-gate openings. Wide double gates require a properly planned opening and securely installed gate posts so the gate leaves can operate correctly while providing the generous access the property owner wanted.
Once the framework, black chain-link fabric, and gates were installed, we made final adjustments and inspected the enclosure.
The black vinyl coating provides a finished appearance that works particularly well in this setting. Rather than visually dominating the recreational area, the dark fencing tends to blend into the shaded woods surrounding the court.
Final Result
The completed project gives the property a 6-foot black vinyl-coated chain-link enclosure surrounding its new pickleball and multipurpose recreational court.
Guests can enjoy pickleball or basketball while the taller fence helps keep balls within the recreational area. Two 10-foot double gates provide excellent access from both ends of the court.
The finished black fencing also complements the earlier 450-foot black vinyl chain-link pet-containment fence we installed at the property in August.
Together, the two projects demonstrate how the same basic fencing material can solve very different needs on one property—from providing dogs with a secure area to run to creating an attractive enclosure around a recreational court.
Why This Project Matters
Chain-link fencing isn't limited to property boundaries and pet enclosures. With the right height, coating, gate configuration, and installation method, it can provide a practical and attractive solution for pickleball courts, basketball courts, recreational areas, and other specialty applications.
This project also demonstrates North Georgia Fence Company's ability to adapt an installation to finished surfaces such as concrete rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all fence installation method.
Our Commitment Doesn't End at Installation
For North Georgia Fence Company, completing the fence is not the end of the relationship.
This Blue Ridge property is a good example. After completing approximately 450 feet of black vinyl-coated chain-link pet fencing in August, we were pleased to be invited back in September to handle the new pickleball court enclosure.
Whether we install a residential pet fence, recreational court enclosure, driveway gate, or automatic gate system, our goal is to become the company our customers feel comfortable calling again when another project arises.
